It’s that time again! Time for the Museum to open for the season, beginning with an Open House Sunday, May 15th.

The Society members have been busy preparing the Museum for company. With new ideas and plans, the museum will be evolving over the season to bring the public new and interesting exhibits. From 1 to 4 pm, tours will be offered at the museum by Society members.  Bring the family out for an afternoon of Granite City history!

The Old Six Mile Historical Society will also have a booth at the first Melting Pot Market of the season, Saturday, May 14th. That day only all memberships are half price! We will have books for sale as well, and plenty of information! Please come to the Market to support Downtown Granite City, and while you’re there, stop by and see us – we would love to see you!

The Melting Pot Market is downtown Granite City, across from the new Theater, on Niedringhaus Ave.
